Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Costa Rica Adventure Thrills, we believe in clear and fair policies for all our guests. We understand that plans can change, and our cancellation and refund policies are designed to offer flexibility while maintaining the high standards of service and reliability we’re known for.

These policies apply to all our services, including tours and airport transfers, and are in place to ensure smooth operations for both our guests and our team.

Airport Transportation – Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Costa Rica Adventure Thrills, we understand that travel plans can change. This policy is designed to be clear, fair, and respectful of our team’s time and logistics, while offering flexibility when possible.

Standard Cancellation Policy:

Applies to all private airport transfers to/from Guanacaste Airport (LIR).

  • 100% Refund – Cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled airport pick-up.
     

  • 50% Refund – Cancellations made 3 to 6 days before the scheduled pick-up.
     

  • No Refund – Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled pick-up or in the case of no-shows.
     

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Flight Delays & Changes

We monitor all incoming flight times. If your flight is delayed, we will adjust your pickup time accordingly at no additional charge.

If your flight is cancelled or rescheduled, please notify us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate changes based on availability.

Weather Conditions

Airport transfers will proceed in normal rainy or cloudy weather, which is typical for Costa Rica.
Only in severe or dangerous weather conditions (e.g., heavy flooding, tropical storms, airport closure) will transfers be delayed or canceled — in which case we’ll reschedule at no extra cost.

Special Exceptions

In the case of medical emergencies, documented illness, or flight-related issues, we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis and do our best to offer flexibility, such as rescheduling or issuing credit for future use.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

All changes or cancellations must be made in writing via:

 Weather Conditions

Costa Rica is a tropical destination, and weather conditions can change rapidly. Tours will proceed as scheduled in light rain or cloudy conditions, as these are normal and do not typically pose a safety risk.
 
Tours will only be cancelled or modified if conditions are deemed unsafe (e.g., storms, flooding, high winds, or lightning) based on official alerts or at the discretion of our tour guides and operators.

Important: If weather conditions are not life-threatening or do not significantly impact the quality or safety of the tour, the tour will still run, and regular cancellation terms will apply.

Modifications & Rescheduling

  • Guests may request to reschedule a tour once, free of charge, with at least 72 hours' notice, subject to availability.
     

  • Additional changes may incur a $25 administrative fee per booking.
     

Special Exceptions
